HOW SUPER SCORE SAT TUTORING WORKS
I understand that I’m not the right fit for everyone, which is why I offer a free session—it’s vital for us to click. Kids tend to enjoy working with me because I balance being fun, serious, down-to-earth, and a little quirky. I’m easy to talk to and easy to learn from. I’ll hold students accountable when necessary, but I’m quick to praise their efforts, celebrate their successes, and acknowledge even the small, thoughtful things they do.
I operate on a “first-come, first-served” basis seven days a week, making myself available to you and/or your child most hours of the morning, afternoon, evening, and even late at night.
Scheduling Is Simple
Just click on the calendar, select your preferred time slot, and you’re set. I’m here and ready to help whenever you are ready to get started. I know my students are incredibly busy, so I try and be as flexible as I can.
Tutoring sessions are done over Zoom. I use Google Classroom, setting up and maintaining an individual classroom for each student.
The cost is $100 per hour of ACTUAL one-on-one instruction time with me (sessions are either 1 or 1.5 hours in length…the student/parent decides how long). Included in this cost is the following:
- Testing Materials: All practice and assessment materials are provided at no cost.
- Grading: I personally grade the students’ work and provide detailed feedback.
- Session Preparation: I spend time planning and organizing sessions to ensure productive lessons.
- Reports: I provide regular updates on the student’s progress, including scoring updates, strengths and weaknesses, suggestions for improvement, and general insights.
The number of sessions needed is dependent on the student and their goals.
Student Expectations
I expect students to come fully prepared for each session (including completing homework on time), so I can review it and provide constructive feedback. If you need to cancel a session, please notify me in advance to allow adjustments to my schedule for other students.
While I understand that unexpected situations may occur, repeated tardiness or missing sessions is not acceptable. I take my responsibilities seriously and expect the same level of commitment and accountability from both students and their parents.
What do I need from parents? First, I need realistic goals for your child. Accept that your child’s education may have gaps or may not have fully prepared them to maximize their performance on the SAT. Trust me to guide your child in realizing their full potential. Most importantly, support your child by encouraging them to put in a consistent effort: hold them accountable for showing up on time, staying focused, and taking responsibility for their progress.
However, this process only works if the student is equally (if not more) committed compared to the parent. If improving their SAT score is solely the parent’s goal and not the student’s, the results will not be effective. It is essential that your child believes in themselves, has a strong desire to improve, and is willing to dedicate the time, work, and effort required to succeed.
I am not looking to work with students who simply dream of raising their SAT scores by 200-300 points or “cracking” the 1500s. I want to work with students who are committed to achieving their personal best on the SAT and are willing to put in the effort, stay focused, and make improvement a priority.
Bottom line: The student must be as invested—or more invested—than the parents.
“I like how personalized the tutoring was. Also your honesty is something I appreciate and don’t get from most people. I think it’s good to let people know when they can be working harder or have more to give instead of holding back to make them feel better. And all the tips and small lessons for recognizing patterns/answering questions faster are a must!”
