Super Score SAT

Each student has unique needs, knowledge gaps, and learning styles that require an individualized approach.

Common Approaches to SAT Preparation

Take the Test Multiple Times (Fingers-Crossed Method) Scores typically fluctuate within 50 points (up or down) and, without intervention, students often remain in the same general range.

Use Online Prep Services Although these sources can be a tremendous foundational learning resource, they are just computer programs. If a student has significant gaps in knowledge or struggles with independent learning, services like Khan Academy are unlikely to fill those gaps effectively.

Rely on Practice Tests and Explanations The explanations provided in the large workbooks sold at bookstores and online are often convoluted, overly technical, and difficult for many high school students to follow.

Our Approach

SAT preparation is not a “one-size-fits-all” process. Each student has unique needs, knowledge gaps, and learning styles that require an individualized approach.

My teaching approach simplifies complex concepts so students can easily understand them. I create a safe and supportive environment where they feel comfortable admitting when they’re stuck or confused. I work collaboratively with students, sharing the same goal: THEIR SUCCESS! When we’re both fully committed and aligned, we WILL achieve extraordinary results.

Maximize Your Potential

Every student has unique potential to improve their SAT score regardless of their starting point. I’ve worked with students who began in the 1300s and advanced to the 1500s, as well as those who started in the 1100s and achieved a 1400. I’ve also helped students from less-resourced schools who were starting around the 950 floor be able to reach scores of 1250 or 1300. Improvement varies among individuals, but after a few sessions, I can accurately identify each student’s growth potential. Unsurprisingly, the most significant gains are tied to the amount of focused effort and preparation students are willing to invest.

Ultimately, what matters is not where your child starts but where they finish. If your child is committed to improving, works hard, and fully engages in the process, I will match their effort with my own dedication. Together, we can maximize their individual potential and achieve meaningful progress.

“There is no way my son would have achieved National Merit Finalist without Kevin’s help. My son had very strong math skills but needed serious help on the verbal section. Kevin helped my son understand the verbal section – once it clicked my son felt comfortable and ultimately scored a 780.”
